About Me:
With a background in reading, analyzing and writing, I am a creative, artistic documentation specialist with extensive knowledge of different file types and how they work best together for online and print. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Texas in Dallas, Texas. During my studies, I was involved in independent analytical research where I gathered and then interpreted facts and results. As a professional, I have rebranded customer-facing documentation for Citizens Bank and designed and created graphics for Stop & Shop's decor signage. I know HTML and have created and posted websites and information to the Internet since 1995. Most recently, I composed forms with variable data tags for OneBeacon Insurance Company. I am versatile, pick up new programs easily and work quickly into new roles, combining the technical and artistic.
I collaborate well with project managers and create and write quality communications with proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. I provide unexpected value to my projects with my keen eye for detail. I follow proper formatting guidelines, using INFO Mapping techniques to ensure my writing is formatted and organized, and easy to read by the intended audience. I add professional creativity wherever possible to keep the reader interested and provide a visual explanation or guide.
I have a history of managing approvals as part of a deadline process to ensure timelines are met. Whether it is the sign-off from a design manager for a signage piece or the approval of a business team to publish a new addition to an insurance policy, I understand the need to keep on track.
I have an outgoing personality and am known to take a proactive role on all projects. I foster creativity and interaction among my peers and have strong interpersonal skills.
I have more than a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows business applications and an extensive working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, which I use personally and professionally.
